It gives the following error message when I try to 'make compress' using the distributed Makefile: ld: warning: near subsegments too big for 5 bases ld: compress.o: no base for reloc of memref instruction at text+1FC relative to symbol _bgnd_flag ld: 41 more 'no base ' errors *** Error code 4 Stop. I have used the space analyzer 'span' to provide a farlist to the compiler, but it still gives the same message. Am I missing an obvious step? Can anyone offer any suggestions?
